Most people think that they control all the choices in their life. The clothes they wear, the house they live in, their job, their car, how people treat them to how they live their lives.

But in reality, a significant number of important choices in your life are made for you. How many of you are happy in your job, how many of you thought that there would be more to life than this, how many of you feel that you are being pushed down this inevitable road of life without too much control of the outcome? Who is steering the life train, who is accelerating and braking? They don’t want you to find your own answers. They want you to believe theirs!

But if you just strip away the layers, the self-imposed limits, the hold points to the choices you really want to make in your life about who you are, what you are and who you want to become, you can discover how to take back control of what is good for you, for your family and those you love.

You will truly become the person you want to become and make your own destiny. True destiny is made not born. You can live an entire lifetime and never be awake to the possibilities that you can achieve. Give it everything you’ve got and do not do things in moderation.

Moderation is mediocrity, fear and confusion in disguise. It’s life’s dilemma. It’s neither doing nor not doing! Moderation is for the bland, the apologetic, for the fence-sitters of the world afraid to take a stand. It’s for those afraid to laugh or cry, for those afraid to live or die.

 

MyChoice Program

The 5 step MyChoice Program to help you to take back control, embrace the Power of Choice and unleash your potential. 

STEP 1 – LIGHTEN THE LOAD

Focus on your goal and look at all the things around you that you can currently do and evaluate them against the Dragon Rules outlined in our program. Don’t doubt it, don’t fight it nor should you over think it. If what you are doing brings no perceived benefit to achieving this goal, don’t waste time on it.

Ensure that you have regular “ME” time, free of distraction (People, phones, computers, etc.) and constantly evaluate your actions against the achieving your goal.

In essence, focus on the simple beneficial actions that will underpin the 1st Dragon Rule and discard, shed and unload all the other “stuff” that is unnecessary clutter. Free up your time and concentrate on the task at hand. Lighten that mental load and focus on your goal.

 

STEP 2 – BE WORTHY

One of the biggest fears people have about pursuing their goals is what happens if they succeed?! Are you really good enough, with it change you, what will your family and friends think of you?

Once again, this boils down to choice and your right, your need to choose what is right for you. That is why you are going down this road in the first place!
You are worthy of success, of achieving your goal if you have the courage and conviction to attempt to achieve. If you step up, you are good to go, you have every right! Why should achieving your goals change you in a bad way?

Don’t be left wondering, don’t be a “GUNNA”. When are you gunna’ do it? Someday never really arrives. You have to go out and meet it head on.
So focus on your goal and decide here and now that you are worthy of achievement! Don’t live to be judged for what you haven’t done. Live to be applauded for what you have accomplished.
Life is too short to waste any amount of time on wondering what other people think about you. If they had better things going on in their lives, they would not be sitting around and talking about you.

So consider yourself to be worthy and move on to the next step.

 

STEP 3 – BECOME PASSIONATE

 
Become passionate
 

It might seem that you are really passionate about your goal. But are you really passionate, or do you just want it? How bad do you want to achieve your goal? Do you want it a little or a lot? Do you want it as much as the air that you breathe?!

Ask yourself – what is my motivation, why do I need to do this, why am I so passionate about my goal? What is driving me? Clearly focus on your answer, let it sink deep within you and really get into your head.

It’s the type of passion that gets you out of bed in the early morning, it’s the passion that keeps you warm at night when the weather turns cold, it’s the passion that sharpens your focus, your senses and clears your head.

When other people are out enjoying themselves, passion becomes your drinking buddy, your poker buddy or your girl’s night out buddy. It will stick with you through thick and thin, when others do not
You have to feel really strongly about something in order to do it, even when things get a little bumpy!

So ask yourself “How much do I really want this”

 

STEP 4 – BELIEVE

 
Believe
 

Only with deep seated belief can you achieve your goal.

The dictionary defines deep seated as firmly fixed, implanted, or held; ingrained. So your belief should be firmly implanted and to do that you need to plant the seed deep within you.
It is not enough to be passionate and wanting to achieve something, you need to truly believe in your capacity and ability to fulfil your goal. That doesn’t mean that you will do everything perfectly every time. Remember experts start out as novices and get up more times than they got knocked down.

Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution.
Self-belief helps you see opportunities. Self-belief facilitates finding creative solutions. Self-belief stimulates action and persistence. Self-belief makes other people around you more responsive to your needs. It is your way to measure everything you will do with confidence against the 1st Dragon Rule.

 

Step 5 - Commit

Wow! This step is the hardest step of all

We can talk until we are blue in the face about all the wonderful things we should, we could or we might be doing, but until we actually commit to starting down the path of attempting to realize our goal, it is all just hot air!

Take that first step – just do it. It is better to make a mistake with the full force of your being than to timidly avoid mistakes with a trembling spirit. Commitment means recognizing both action and consequence, then making a choice.

Commitment is the turning point in your life when you seize the moment and convert it into that opportunity to shape your destiny. Just remember if you commit to nothing then you will be distracted by everything.

There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you are interested in something, you do it only when it is convenient. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses, only reaching your goal. Commitment will set you free.
Freedom is not the absence of commitment, but the ability to choose and commit yourself to what is right for you. So in order to truly be yourself, your need to commit!
